Owner Dean Ogan is known for giving back to the community and was named the 2011 Restaurateur of the Year by the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association (NCRLA). Rocky Top Hospitality has partnered with nonprofits such as Red Sword Guild, Memories for Marcus, the American Heart Association and the Jingle Ball to cater their annual events, as well as making food donations to the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Rocky Top Hospitality's restaurants often have "Dine Out" events where a percentage of the sales are designated to local and national charities, providing an opportunity to talk directly to the local community and promote their cause.
